Ada Alvena (Renegar) Yarber, daughter of Claud and Elsie (Orchard) Renegar, was born April 1, 1935, in the Pleasant Grove Community where she lived all her life. She went to the Pleasant Grove school for 8 years and graduated from Birch Tree High School in 1954.
She married the love of her life James "Sonny" Yarber in 1955. They had 58 years together. To this union one son was born, Danny.
She accepted Christ as her Savior at an early age at the Pleasant Grove Church where she had been a member all her life.
She went to be with the Lord on August 2, 2025. She is survived by her son, Danny Yarber; two granddaughters, Amanda Reed and Beth Dodge and husband, John; four great-grandchildren, Landon Faulkner, Wyatt Dodge, Christian Reed, and Cassidy Reed.
Proceeding her in death are her husband, James Yarber; parents, Claud and Elsie; sisters, Margaret Sansouci, Vera Yarber, and Patsy Lakey; her beloved daughter-in-law, Jodie Yarber; and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law in which she loved.
She worked 30 years at Angelica Uniform Company. After she retired she loved to work in the garden, but the greatest joy of her life was her son and grand and great-grandchildren.
She is to be laid to rest next to her husband, James, in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery, in the shadow of her old country church.
Graveside memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 16, 2025, at Pleasant Grove Cemetery, Teresita, Missouri, with Pastor Barry Fielder officiating. Cremation arrangements were under the direction of Yarber Mortuary, Birch Tree, Missouri. Condolences may be expressed at www.yarbermortuary.com
