Anthony "Tony"
William Thompson
Jan 9, 1977 — Jan 15, 2026
Anthony "Tony" Thompson, age 49, a resident of Birch Tree, Missouri, passed away on January 15, 2026. He was born on January 9, 1977, in Bradley, Illinois, to Bill Keck and Rhonda (Thompson) Hill.
Tony went to Lincoln's Challenge Academy in Rantoul, Illinois, when he was 17 years old. Shortly after graduating, he married Rachael Davis on September 2, 1994, in Vienna, Illinois.
He was a jack of all trades and had many professions. He was a tow boat operator, a truck driver, and an all-around handyman; he was a natural at turning nothing into something. Tony was an excellent cook who enjoyed cooking for his family and friends. He loved debating with people on any subject and researching various topics. He also enjoyed spending time in his garden. Tony loved our Heavenly Father and enjoyed sharing His word with others.
Tony is survived by his wife, Rachael Thompson; his sons, A.J. (Desirre Hall) Thompson, and Johnathon (Harley Hagy) Thompson; his parents, Bill Keck and Rhonda Hill; maternal grandfather, Jim Thompson; aunts and uncles, Steve Thompson, Mike Thompson, Katy (Gary) McHugh, Eleanor Mathews, and Lorelei Malinairi; and countless relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by an unborn child; his maternal grandmother, Naomi (Wade) Thompson; and paternal grandparents, Ellen Tuttle and Edgar Keck.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, at Yarber Mortuary, Mountain View, Missouri. Memorial donations may be made to Yarber Mortuary. Condolences may be expressed at www.yarbermortuary.com.
