Billie Eugene Jones was born on April 30, 1944, in Summersville, Missouri, to Boyd and Cora (Ecton) Jones. He was the youngest of seven children. He passed away in his home on June 27, 2026.

Bill is preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, two sisters, his daughter, Lori, his nephew, Larry, and his wife of over 30 years, Virginia.

He is survived by his significant other of 23 years, Linda Brady; his children, Jason Murphy, Holly (Kevin) Reese, and Elizabeth (Michael) Brooks; grandchildren, Quenton, Tatum, Briar, and Gage; nephew, Sherrill (Lisa) Daniel; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other family members.

Bill was known for his skills with horses, building fences, and logging. He enjoyed back-roading, breaking horses, cutting up with friends, and playing with his grandkids. More than anything, Bill enjoyed drinking a cold beer with family and friends on a hot day.

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 2, 2026, at Chapel Hill Cemetery, Mountain View, Missouri, under the direction of Yarber Mortuary, Mountain View. Condolences may be expressed at www.yarbermortuary.com.
