Carolyn Kay Stricklin was born on March 6, 1944, in Mountain View, Missouri, the daughter of John Karl Turner and Lois Judith (Day) Hergeshheimer, and departed this life on Thursday, January 11, 2024, at her home in Mountain View.

She was united in marriage to Richard Columbus Stricklin, on July 14, 1961, in Compton, California. To this union, four children were born Sharon, Barbara, Dianna, and Richard II.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her husband, Richard; her parents, Karl and Lois; her eldest daughter, Sharon Brim; and four siblings, Sadie Bay, Cleeda Wilbanks, Karl Turner Jr., and Jimmie Turner.

She is survived by three children, Barbara Stellini, Dianna Camden, and Richard Stricklin II; 11 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.

Carolyn was married to Richard for 46 years, and she served as a Marine Officer's wife for 25 of those years. When Richard retired, they settled down and raised bottled calves.
