Cayla Lee Buckner was born June 4, 1985, in Mountain View, Missouri, to Roy and Janet (Sechrest) Buckner. She departed this life on November 29, 2023, in Birch Tree, Missouri, at the age of 38.

Cayla is survived by her three children, the loves of her life, Kolton Patterson, Kathan Barnes, and Kylan Buckner, all of Winona, MO; her mother, Janet Buckner; brother, Cody Buckner (Jess Smotherman); favorite nephew and niece, Colby Buckner and Myah Buckner; and numerous cousins.

She is preceded in death by her father, Roy Buckner; grandfather, Franklin Buckner; and aunts, Judy McClurg and Joyce Brake.

Cayla took the Lord into her heart as a teenager. She had the heart of a warrior when she believed in something. Cayla loved her children, who were her world. Everyone who knew Cayla knew that she had a big attitude and an even bigger heart.

She will forever be in our hearts and live with us through her children. Cayla, you may be gone, but you'll never be forgotten.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 30, 2023, at the Senior Center in Winona, Missouri, with Greg Buckner officiating, under the direction of Yarber Mortuary, Birch Tree, Missouri. Condolences may be expressed at www.yarbermortuary.com.
