Clifford Dale
Needels
Feb 15, 1952 — Dec 8, 2022
Clifford Dale Needels was born in Winona, Missouri, on February 15, 1952, to John Culp Needels and Sarah Irene (Rood) Needels. Clifford left for his heavenly home on December 8, 2022, at his home in Winona with his children by his side. Clifford married Betty Jean Roberts on August 29, 1970. To this union, six children were born, Dayla, Gayla, Angela, Valerie, Jonathan, and Bob.
Clifford was preceded in death by his wife, Betty; parents, John and Irene; sister, Darlene Valencia; an infant brother, James; and great-granddaughter, Jaycee Iler.
He is survived by his children, Dayla Needels (Harley Grubb) of Van Buren, MO, Gayla (Larry) Phipps of Winona, MO, Angela Needels (Ron McQuerry) of Eminence, MO, Valerie (Kenny) Schulz of Winona, Jonathan (Tanya) Needels of Winona, Bob (Susie) Needels of Winona; brother, Don Needels of Winona; sisters, Zella (Bud) Price of Winona, and Ruth (Don) Neal of Udall, MO; nineteen grandchildren; and twenty-four great-grandchildren. Clifford took much pride in his family and being a great provider for them.
Clifford had a special soul, never meeting a stranger. He could talk to someone he had just met for hours as if he had known them his whole life. The stories Clifford could tell were endless, he knew just a little about anything and everything. No lie, he really did. If you needed directions, Clifford was your man. He could tell you exactly how to get there and the best way to get there, which he did many times for his kids and their spouses, and his grandkids. He was always willing to lend a hand to anyone, always just a phone call away.
One of Clifford's favorite past times was exploring and history, and this past time he handed down to his children and many of his grandchildren. He wore many hats throughout his life, with being a truck driver his favorite, which he had done for over thirty years until his retirement this past year.
Clifford will be terribly missed by all who knew and loved him, and there will forever be a hole in the lives of his children, their spouses, and his grandchildren's lives.
