Cory Curtis Teske, age 44, entered into his eternal home on May 27, 2024. He was born on August 7, 1979, in Ellendale, North Dakota.

Cory was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Elda and Arthur Schmaal, and his paternal grandparents, Robert and Ella Teske.

He is survived by his mother and step-father, Marlys and David McPherson of Birch Tree, MO; his father and step-mother, Curtis and Kim Teske of Cascade, ID; a sister and husband, Jody and Rob Ballantyne of Gulf Shores, AL; nephew and wife, Andrew and Paige Vannest of Emmetsburg, IA; niece, Nichol Ballantyne of Des Moines, IA; and two great-nieces, Hadley Mae and Aspyn Tae Vannest.

Cory lived most of his life in Colorado. He was a chef in Denver for several years and also in Des Moines, Iowa, and Kansas City, Missouri. He moved to Birch Tree, Missouri, four years ago to be near family.

He loved the mountains, being outdoors, camping, and hiking. Most of all, he was an extremely talented musician and loved playing the guitar.

Cory will be deeply missed by his family, who loved him, and by all who knew him.
