DeAnne Delight Stene Mulder, 72, of Mountain View, Missouri, passed away peacefully on September 19, 2026, in the comfort of her home outside Mountain View, Missouri.

DeAnne was born November 21, 1953, in Akron, Iowa, to Delmer and Darlene Stene. She graduated from Beresford High School in 1972 and married Larry Mulder on April 6, 1974. She later earned her bachelor's degree from Southwest Baptist University in 2000.

DeAnne worked in several roles throughout her life, including waitress, nursing assistant, homemaker, receptionist for the Mountain View Chamber of Commerce, feed store clerk, radio advertising representative, behavioral health worker, and substitute teacher. Larry and De owned Mulder Construction and Mulder Cabinets & Countertops. She was a member of Mountain View Christian Church, served on the founding board of Agape House, belonged to Study Club, and taught Sunday School to the beloved "Treehouse Gang."

Creative in nearly every way, DeAnne was an artist, painter, poet, singer, songwriter, author, gardener, cook, and storyteller. She wrote children's books and a coloring book, illustrated a book cover, sang at weddings and funerals, loved yard sales and thrift stores, cherished her farm and animals, especially her chickens, and was known by her grandchildren as the very best cook.

For approximately fifteen years, DeAnne faced repeated battles with cancer with remarkable faith, humor, and perseverance. Waiting rooms and infusion centers often became places of ministry as she encouraged and prayed with others. She was known for calling on her "prayer warriors," looking for the silver lining, and reminding others to "be the blessing."

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Dennis and Dallas Stene; father- and mother-in-law, Dick and Suzanne Mulder; Maryann Dinkel; and Richard Mulder.

She is survived by her husband, Larry Mulder; daughters, Jennifer Renegar (Earnie) and Melanie Miller (Tim); grandchildren, Jayson Petersen, Avery Miller, Isaac Miller, and Annalice Renegar; brother, DeLynn Stene (Colleen); sister-in-law, Glenda Stene; Clarence Mulder; Joyce Mulder; and many extended family members and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, September 26, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. at Mountain View Christian Church with Tim Miller officiating. Cremation arrangements were under the direction of Yarber Mortuary, Mountain View, Missouri. Memorial donations may be made in DeAnne's name to Agape House.
