Dennis James Peters, age 73, passed away on February 5, 2023, at Brooke Haven Healthcare, West Plains, Missouri. He was born on January 3, 1950, to Norbert Sylvester and Rita Theresa (Simon) Peters in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Norbert and Rita Peters; four brothers, Joe, Jerome, David, and Norbert; and three sisters, Marie, Janet, and Sharon.

Survivors include one son, Chris Peters; two daughters, Wendy Buxbaum and Cynthia Larson; one sister, Karen Osier; seven grandchildren, Michael Buxbaum, Tesla Buxbaum, Rafe Larson, Bradon Larson, Nick Larson, Nora Peters, and Aspen Peters; and many nieces and nephews.

Dennis honorably served for twenty years as Staff Sargeant in the 101st Airborne in Vietnam. He was an avid train enthusiast, Green Bay Packers fan, and cat lover.

Memorial service with military honors will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 11, 2023, at Yarber Mortuary, Mountain View, Missouri with Pastor Kent Watkins officiating.
