Donald G. Chitwood passed away on April 23, 2023, at Cox South Hospital, Springfield, Missouri. He was born on August 29, 1938, near Blair's Creek, Missouri.

Don is survived by his two children, Ron Chitwood and Susan Marler.

He was a beloved father of two and a cherished friend to everyone who knew him. Don's greatest joy was spending time with his kids, he cared deeply for them and everyone he came across. He was a hard worker, who took everything to heart, he would give the shirt off his back and only wanted a kind word in return. Don will be missed very much and never forgotten.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 5, 2023, at Yarber Mortuary, Birch Tree, Missouri, with Alexandra Grant officiating. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 10-11:00 a.m. also at the funeral home. Interment will be in Chitwood Cemetery, Ellington, Missouri.
