Donna Lee Counts was born October 17, 1947, in Winona, Missouri, to Other and Josefeen (Bradshaw) Counts.
She passed away on November 21, 2020, at Ozarks Medical Center in West Plains, Missouri, at the age of 73.
Donna was united in marriage to Donald Gene Counts on June 20, 1964, and to this union, six children were born. Donald Gene preceded her in death on January 8, 2004. Also preceding her in death were her parents, Other and Josefeen Counts; one brother, Tex Counts; one brother-in-law, Raymond Thompson; and one daughter-in-law (by choice), Tonya Counts.
She is survived by five sons, Donald (Dale) Counts and wife, Kandra, Russell Counts and friend, Larissa, Roger Counts and wife, Jean, Shawn Counts, and Thomas W Counts and friend, Heather, all of Eminence, MO; one daughter, Martha Elliott, and husband, Victor, of Winona, MO; one son by choice, Thomas P Counts, of Eminence, MO; one brother, Rex Counts and wife Brenda, of Winona, MO; two sisters, Shirley Thompson and husband, Paul, of Winona, MO; her twin sister, Anna Thompson, of Eminence, MO; her final companion in life, John (Jack) Linkul; 20 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Donna enjoyed sewing, cooking, and camping out with her family. She loved talking about her children and grandchildren to anyone who would listen, even a stranger in the grocery store. Her eyes sparkled the most when she was surrounded by her grandchildren. She was loved dearly and will be sadly missed.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 24, 2020, at Yarber Mortuary in Eminence, Missouri with Allen Bates officiating. Visitation will be held Tuesday evening from 6-8:00 p.m., also at the funeral home. Interment will be in Lone Pine Piatt Cemetery in Timber, Missouri. Memorials may be sent to the Alzheimer's Association. Condolences may be expressed at www.yarbermortuary.com.
