Eileen Mae Keeling was born on January 2, 1927, in Angeline, Missouri. She left this life on May 22, 2024, at the age of 97 years, 4 months, and 20 days in her home surrounded by family.
She was married to Rural "Bob" Keeling on August 5, 1942, at the age of 15 years. She traveled with her husband, who was in the Army. She saw many parts of the United States during that time, including New Jersey and New York.
After her travels, she returned to the Eminence/Summersville area where she worked at Angelica and retired 35 years later. She was called to ministry at a young life. She preached the Word of God at the Flatwoods Church of God of Prophesy for 35 years. She continued serving the Lord for the remainder of her life.
Eileen was preceded in death by her husband, Rural "Bob" Keeling; her parents, Maude and Carlos Smith; brothers, Dallas (Evelyn) Smith, and Winfred (Doris) Smith; daughter-in-law, Patsy Petty Keeling; great-granddaughter, Hailey Barton; and nephew, Rodger Smith.
She is survived by her two children, Sharon Karleen (Harold) Smith, and Lyndel Leon (Rebecca) Keeling. She had eight grandchildren, Curt Smith, Greg (Jennifer) Smith, Jared (Dianna) Keeling, Chandra Smith, Bobbie Jo (Bill) Brewer, Eric (Melanie) Smith, Danny Ray (Kate) Staples, Tyler (Sara) Goode. She had nineteen great-grandchildren, Chasity (Tom) Stockton, Ashley Smith, Karson Odom, Matthew (Morgan) Barton, Kaylee (Quinton) Hurst, Tayler (Brandon) Mitchell, Jacob Brewer, Robert Jared (Lexi) Keeling, Jaxson (Dorothy) Martin, Jordan Brewer, Trista Keeling, Isaac Smith, Josiah Smith, Cole Odom, Everett Smith, Asher Smith, Jadea Hopkins, Duke Staples, and Brecken Staples. She had six great-great-grandchildren, Bentley Stockton, Mac Sadler, Gabby Ann Martin, Chesley Barton, Rayden Keeling, and Allie Mae Martin; and a host of family members.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 25, 2024, at Yarber Mortuary, Eminence, Missouri, with Bro. Gary Steelman and Wayne Crider officiating. Visitation will be held from 6-8:00 p.m. on Friday, May 24, 2024, also at the funeral home. Interment will be in Flatwoods Cemetery, Eminence. Condolences may be expressed at www.yarbermortuary.com.
