Elmer Bruce Hawkins was born July 9, 1944, in Birch Tree, Missouri, and passed away at the age of 76, November 17, 2020, in West Plains, Missouri.

Bruce is survived by his sons, Alan Hawkins and wife Joy of Broaddus, TX, Darin Hawkins and wife Marlene of Mountain View, MO; three grandchildren, David, Daniel and Christian; five great-grandchildren; and a host of family and friends.

He graduated from high school with a full scholarship to Rolla School of Mines but decided to continue the family business in the sawmill/logging industry for many years until his health wouldn't allow him.

Bruce was a loving Dad and his boys made him so very proud. He always had a smile and had lots of stories to tell. He loved to fish and had many stories of fishing and camping with his sons and his wife, Lillie.

Bruce was a man of great faith in God and accepted Jesus as his Savior many years ago. He read and studied the Bible and had a wealth of knowledge of the Scriptures.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Lillie, and his parents, Lillian and Elmer Hawkins.

Bruce was very much loved and will be missed greatly!

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 23, 2020, at Oak Grove Cemetery, Birch Tree, Missouri under the direction of Yarber Mortuary, Mountain View. Condolences may be expressed at www.yarbermortuary.com.
