Obituary

In loving memory of Etta Mae Fern Yarber. On January 4, 2026, God called his faithful servant from this Earthly life into his eternal presence. At the age of 84, Etta peacefully completed her Earthly journey and now rests in the loving arms of our Savior.

A devoted wife, Etta is survived by her beloved husband, Norman Yarber; her brothers, Don and Gerald Thomas; and her cherished children, Robert "Keith" and Joann Busby, and Sandra Walker; grandchildren, Heather Busby, Brian Busby, Jessica and Josh Davis, Justin and Lorrie Bay, Amanda and Jeremy Combs, Ashleigh Bailey, and Lucas Walker; as well as her great-grandchildren.

Etta found great joy in family, church, prayer, music, and helping others; her heart was always open to those in need. Though our hearts grieve, we do not grieve without hope. As scripture reminds us, "The Lord is my Shepherd; I shall not want … and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever" (Psalm 23). We take comfort in knowing that Etta has been welcomed home, hearing the words, "Well done, good and faithful servant."

While we grieve the loss of Etta Mae Fern Yarber, we take solace in the belief that she has been welcomed into the eternal presence of our Lord and Savior. As we gather to pay tribute to her life and legacy, we remember her words and deeds, which will continue to inspire us.

Though we will miss her dearly, we rejoice in the promise of reunion and rest in God's eternal peace.

Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, March 20, 2026, at Turkey Oak Cemetery, Montier, Missouri, under the direction of Yarber Mortuary, Mountain View. Condolences may be expressed at www.yarbermortuary.com.
