Evelyn Delores (Pulliam) Hyslop, 80, of Birch Tree, Missouri died on August, 8, 2022 at her home. She was born September 23, 1941 in Birch Tree, Missouri the daughter of Truman and Fay (Nelles) Pulliam.

Evelyn was united in marriage to Charles "Dick" Hyslop on October 18, 1959 and to this union three children were born, Charles R. Jr., Brian, and Joni.

Preceding her in death were her parents; brothers, Donald Pulliam and Virgil Pulliam; infant son, Jamie Hyslop; and infant granddaughter, Samantha Elliott.

She is survived by her husband, Charlie, of the home; children, Charles R. Hyslop, Jr. (Mariann), West Plains, MO, Brian Hyslop (Amy), Wichita, KS, and Joni Elliott (Fats) Birch Tree, MO; grandchildren, Katie Elliott (Joe Rodriguez), Ian Bridewell (Joseph), Lucas Hyslop, Jonathan Hyslop, Garrett Hyslop, and Noah Hyslop; great grandchildren, Natalie Triplett, Cooper Triplett, Leighla Rodriguez, Hannah Rodriguez, Roger Hyslop, Liam Hyslop, and Kaiya Hyslop; and sister, Leta (Pulliam) Flett.

Evelyn was an avid reader and loved classical music. She played the piano and clarinet in high school. She enjoyed crocheting as a hobby. She loved nature and being outdoors taking walks or sitting in the swing with her husband, Charlie.

She attended universities near Army posts and in Missouri. Evelyn was a proud Army wife and a mentor to many young wives on the bases where Charles was assigned, including Germany, Hawaii, and many others in the United States.

Evelyn was a great wife, mother and grandmother (known as "Mema"), and great grandmother.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, August 11, 2022 at Yarber Mortuary, Birch Tree, Missouri with Bro. Jeff Brake officiating. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m., also at the funeral home. Interment will be in Oak Forest Cemetery, Birch Tree. Condolences may be expressed at www.yarbermortuary.com.
