Obituary

Gerald Ray Bowman was born on August 9, 1940, in Lockney, Texas. His family moved to Missouri, where he attended Birch Tree High School. He served in the United States Army and was designated as a

sharpshooter in the Infantry division.

He enjoyed his career as an electronics engineer, working on large supercomputers. His work brought him to many beautiful states, but he especially enjoyed the Rocky Mountains states. Gerald loved the mountains, fly fishing, bird hunting, and his beloved bird dogs.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Bessie Blanch (Lovins) and Ray E. Bowman, and his sister, Alice Bea Wylie.

Gerald is survived by his wife, Laura; son, Darrell Bowman (Catherine) of Anchorage, AK; daughter, Lisa Tschirhart (Jeff) of Grapevine, TX; sister, Florence "Betty" Edgar (Junior) of Ozark, MO; six grandchildren; a great-grandson; and six nieces and nephews.

To honor his wishes a private ceremony will be held at a later date at Oak Grove Cemetery, Birch Tree, Missouri. Condolences may be expressed at www.yarbermortuary.com.
