Christine loved her church family dearly and never wanted to miss an opportunity to be in church worshiping with them. She taught Sunday School for 50-plus years and would always say, "Oh, this lesson is such a good one!" For 40 years, she loved to teach oil painting at the Senior Center in Winona. She and her students would talk and pray, laugh and cry together as well as paint. She also brought attention to God's beautiful creation. She would say, "Did you notice the beautiful sunrise or just look at those clouds!"
