Gordon Keith Voyles was born on March 6, 1954, the 6th of seven children born to Vane Vester Voyles and Macie Frieda (Atkins) Voyles. He was a lifelong resident of Winona, Missouri, and attended Winona Schools through 1972. Gordon passed away on September 13, 2026, at his home, at the age of 72. He never met a stranger and will be remembered for his quiet strength and wealth of local lore and knowledge.

Gordon is survived by his wife of 55 years, Lynn; his son, Michael Leslie Voyles; two grandsons, Dillon James Voyles (Tiffany) and Dalton Keith Voyles (Terri Mae); four great-grandchildren, Eli Daniel Corbin, Emory Lynn Voyles, Dayton James Voyles, and one due to arrive this year; two brothers, Stanley Voyles and Kevin Voyles (Regina); as well as many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents; infant daughter, Jessica Elaine Voyles; four siblings, Douglas, Ronald, Larry, and Elaine; special niece, Kimmy Voyles Shelton; father and mother-in-law; and brother-in-law, Jeff Dixon.

Gordon and Lynn enjoyed cruising in classic cars, back-road jeeping, motorcycles, boating and camping on Current River, and listening to bluegrass. He was a businessman and over-the-road trucker by trade and will forever be known by his nickname and CB handle, "Heavy."

He will be deeply missed by his family, car peeps, jeep peeps, and many lifelong friends.

Family-guided graveside services have not been scheduled yet. Inurnment will be at Pleasant Site Cemetery, Fremont, Missouri. Cremation arrangements were under the direction of Yarber Mortuary, Winona, Missouri. Condolences may be expressed at www.yarbermortuary.com.
