Harold Lee Van Winkle, Sr., age 94, passed away on November 20, 2022, at his home in Winona, Missouri. He was born to Lee and Lydia (Steins) Van Winkle on May 20, 1928, in Winona.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Effie (Sellers) Van Winkle; second wife, Flossie Van Winkle; his parents, Lee and Lydia Van Winkle; son-in-law, Dennis Blunkall; and brother, Jim Van Winkle.

Survivors include two sons, Harold Van Winkle and wife, Linda, and Ricky Van Winkle and wife, Annie; one daughter, Mary Blunkall; one brother, Frankie Van Winkle and wife, Diana; one sister, Linda Lawson and husband, Roy; seven grandchildren, Jason, Rebecca, Jonathan, Robert, Alaina, Brittany, and Nichole; seven great-grandchildren, Kelsey, Kassidy, Sadie, William, Skyle, Kynlee, and Koralina; and five step-children.

Harold was a business owner of 54 years and employed many people in our area. He proudly served in the Army during the Korean War. He loved his grandkids and it always brightened his day when he saw them. Harold was a hunter, and loved to hunt deer, coon, and took elk hunting trips to Colorado. He also loved looking at his five generation picture, and loved Nichole, his little cheese puff eating girl.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 22, 2022, at Turkey Oak Cemetery, Montier, Missouri, with Bro. Roger Smith officiating, under the direction of Yarber Mortuary, Winona, Missouri.
