Howard David
Harold
Feb 1, 1955 — Oct 11, 2026
Howard David Harold, affectionately known as "Dave" to his family and friends, passed away on October 11, 2026, at the age of 71.
Dave was a hardworking man who enjoyed the simple things in life, especially when family, friends, laughter, and a little friendly competition were involved. He loved playing spades and dice, fishing, hunting, mushroom picking, camping, and riding around looking for deer. Dave also loved to joke, and his sense of humor was a big part of who he was. Those who knew him will remember the laughs, the stories, and the many good times they shared with him.
Dave retired from Wilson Mold & Machine in Wilson, North Carolina, before later moving to Mountain View, Missouri, with his wife & family.
Dave is survived by his wife, Karen Sue Harold; his children, Kristina McDougle; Karie Harold Rushing and her husband, Terrence Rushing; Holli Harold; and David Harold; and his grandchildren, Kourtnie Harold; Kyle McDougle and his girlfriend, Allonah Ply; Rashad Rushing; Tyra Rushing; and Tamia Rushing.
Dave is also survived by his sisters, Pamela Yeager and Charlene Ross; his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Sandra and Kevin Cawvey; Steve McGlasson and his wife, Mary; Karl McGlasson; and Doug McGlasson; along with many extended family members and friends who will miss him dearly.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Geneva McKee; his father, Howard Harold; his stepfather, Allen McKee; his sister, Racinda Whitworth; his brothers-in-law, Doug Yeager; Ronnie McGlasson; and Jim Walker; his father-in-law, Howard McGlasson; and his mother-in-law, Donna McGlasson.
Dave leaves behind more than names and dates. He leaves behind stories, laughter, memories, and moments that his family and friends will love and hold onto forever. He was deeply loved, will be deeply missed, and will always be remembered.
This isn't goodbye; it's simply, "See you later."
No formal funeral service will be held. A memorial gathering to celebrate Dave's life will be held at a later date, with details to be announced. Cremation arrangements were under the direction of Yarber Mortuary, Mountain View, Missouri.
