James David "Dave" Boyd passed away suddenly in his home in Birch Tree, Missouri around Christmas of 2020. Dave was born on October 5, 1959, in Rockford, Illinois to Wanda and Dallas Boyd. He spent his early years first in Durand, Illinois then in Rockford, later on in northeast Arkansas.

Dave spent his young adulthood traveling across the country, meeting Elke along the way. The couple married in May of 1985, in South Dakota. After their two children were born in Florida, the family settled in Missouri. Dave loved to laugh and live life to the fullest.

Dave is survived by his wife Elke; daughters, Amy and Amanda; grandchildren, Vincent and Cameron "Alex"; brother, Willard "Gene"; sister, Delilah Fay Boyd; and nephew, Kanaan Boyd.

He is preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Raymond.
