Janiece Bohrer, 60, of Willow Springs, Missouri, passed away at her home on August 19, 2025. She was born on April 16, 1965, and grew up in Mountain View, Missouri.
She is preceded in death by both her parents, Cecil "Bill" and Toshiko (Nihongi) Ilgenfritz, of Mountain View, MO; and her first love, David Bruce Bohrer of Willow Springs, MO.
She is survived by a son, Anthony Michael Ilgenfritz of Willow Springs, MO; a granddaughter, Jasmine Lamon of OK; a second love of her life, Randy Morgan of Willow Springs, MO; two brothers, Matthew Ilgenfritz (Jinger) of Springfield, MO, and Jim Ilgenfritz (Nettie) of AZ. She is also survived by many nieces, Kristy Ilgenfritz of Springfield, MO, Jina Ilgenfritz of Rogersville, MO, Cori Medlin (Jason) of AZ, Chastity Charlton (Greg) of Hannibal, MO, Charity Iott (Bently) of Ava, MO, and adopted niece, Ashlynn Welton-Leigh of Willow Springs, MO. She is also survived by nephew, Jason Ilgenfritz of AZ, Little John Bohrer (Jenny) of Hannibal, MO; a great-niece, Chloe Heffley of Rogersville, MO, along with two great-nephews, Blake Heffley of Rogersville, MO, and Austin Ilgenfritz of AZ; and two sisters-in-law, Kimberly Schaffer (Justin) of Hannibal, MO, and Kim Welton of Willow Springs, MO. She left behind many other great-nieces, great-nephews, other family, friends, and furbabies.
Janiece was a loving, compassionate, kind, and giving person. She enjoyed spending time with her friends, family, and animals. Janiece had a green thumb as she liked to plant flowers and do some light gardening. Her favorite flowers were red roses, and her favorite color was red. She had a profound interest in antiques, upcycling, and her Japanese heritage. Her favorite peace time was being near the water. Janiece was loved by so many people and will be greatly missed.
A memorial service will be held at Yarber Mortuary in Mountain View, Missouri, at 2:00 p.m. on August 29, 2025. All who knew Janiece are welcome to come. Guests are encouraged to wear red for her favorite color or bright colors, as she was a colorful person. If you wish to donate to help with expenses, please send donations to Yarber Mortuary.
