Joyce Eileen Montrosse was born August 28, 1937, in Vermillion County, Indiana, to Harry and Edna Ethel (Wallace) Kost. She departed this life on October 6, 2024, in Springfield, Missouri, at the age of 87.

Joyce is preceded by her parents, Harry and Edna; husbands, James Miller, Frank Montrosse, and Ronald Bohannon; son, Ronnie Bohannon; sisters, Florence Malevsky and Etta Porter; and brother, Oliver Kost.

Survivors include her daughters, Toni Bohannon of Lowell, IN and Carla (Steve) Robbins of Brighton, TN; step-daughters, Carol (Doug) Denning of Winona, MO, Donna Gilliam of Peace Valley, MO, Sheila (Bob) Moore of Lebanon, MO and Tambra (Steve) Honeycutt of Mountain View, MO; twin sister, Carol Carey; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Joyce loved her church and her church family. She enjoyed reading and playing cards. She loved family get-togethers and spending time with her sister, Carol.

Joyce will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 9, 2024, at Yarber Mortuary, Mountain View, Missouri, with Pastor Bill Miller and Pastor Larry Howard officiating. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 9-10:00 a.m. also at the funeral home. Interment will be in Chapel Hill Cemetery, Mountain View, Missouri.
