Kenneth Leroy Minnich of Winona, Missouri, was born April 29, 1938, to Herman Z. Minnich and Dorothy Mary Emily (Arnold) Minnich in Winona, Missouri. He departed this life on June 13, 2025, in West Plains, Missouri, at 87 years of age. Kenneth was married to Joann Weaver on August 10, 1973. To this union, one daughter, Kimberly Anne, was born.
Kenneth is survived by his daughter, Kimberly; brother, Richard Minnich; sisters-in-law, Louise Minnich, Virginia Minnich, Wanda Minnich, and Johna Hofstetter and husband Gary; two brothers-in-law, Jerry Weaver, and Justin Weaver and wife, Tracey; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other family, and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his father and mother; maternal grandparents, John and Margaret (Clark) Arnold; paternal grandparents, Herman and Jessie (Johnson) Minnich; son-in-law, Daniel L. Contarini; brothers, Felix, Johnnie, Jimmie, Henry, Dale, and Raymond; sisters-in-law, Wanda Gail Weaver and Deborah Lynn Talley; brother-in-law, Charles Matthew Talley; and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Jerry and Leveta Weaver.
Kenneth graduated from Winona High School in 1957 and was employed for many years at Paramount Headwear in Winona. He was also a U.S. Army Veteran, serving from 1961 to 1963. Kenneth leaves behind a legacy of hard work, honesty, and humor. He loved spending time with his family, especially with his special great-nephews, Louis and Jonas, and special great-niece, Jessi. He was known as "Uncle Kenny" to all his nieces and nephews, who have many humorous stories to share.
Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 19, 2025, at Yarber Mortuary, Winona. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 1-2:00 p.m. also at the funeral home. Interment was in Mount Zion Cemetery in Winona. Memorial donations may be made to Shannon County Food Pantry, PO Box 537, Winona, MO 65588. Condolences may be expressed at www.yarbermortuary.com.
