Larry David Bales was born on February 14, 1953, in Winona, Missouri, to Harry and Ruth (Martin) Bales. He passed away on November 27, 2022, at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri, at the age of 69 years.

He is preceded in death by his parents; one granddaughter, Whitley Bales; two brothers, Donald and Ronald Martin; and one sister, Elaine Smith.

He is survived by one son, Chris (Misty) Bales of Winona, MO; two daughters, Sabrina (Mike) Reese of Mountain View, MO, and Catrina (J.D.) Smith of Bentonville, AR; five grandchildren, Abby Reese, Noah Reese, Amber (Gavin) Tharp, Hunter Bales, and Logan Smith; and three great-grandchildren, Mavis Tharp, Iris Tharp, and Olivia Reese.

Larry completed high school and worked several jobs, including screen printing, janitorial, and construction.

He was the best dad ever, who was generous, thoughtful, and lovable. He enjoyed drawing and watching Antique Roadshow and Jeopardy. He loved his cat Scooby Doo.

Larry will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.

A family-guided Celebration of Life service will be held from 6-8:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 17, 2022, at the Family Youth Center banquet room in Mountain View, Missouri.
