I t is with deep sorrow that we announce the peaceful passing of Leah Jean Corbin on March 16, 2025, in Mountain View, Missouri. She was born on September 10, 1938, to Vernon and Minnie Alcorn.

Leah is preceded in death by her parents, Vernon and Minnie Alcorn; husband, Daniel Irby Corbin; two sisters, Dorthy Russell and Naomi Weaver; two brothers, Bob and Dale Alcorn; and grandchild, Aleecia Williams.

She is survived by her children, Linda Sue Smith, Donna and Paul Bunch, Jackie and Duane Johnson, Sharon and Mark Sartin, Marvin and Becky Corbin, and Jimmy Corbin; 14 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Leah's hands were rarely still, and she enjoyed her time with the Eastern Star. She especially loved spending time with her granddaughters, Nicole Sullivan and Sondra Day, whom she raised as her own daughters. She loved teaching gardening, showing her antique glassware, and swimming at Mahan's Creek. She liked playing with her dogs, Mocha and Sadie May. She also enjoyed shopping and going for rides with her best friend Deana Burns.

Leah was a loving wife, mother, and friend. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

A private memorial service will be held for family and close friends at a later date. Cremation arrangements were under the direction of Yarber Mortuary, Winona Missouri. Condolences may be expressed at www.yarbermortuary.com.
