Lilburn Ray Tranbarger was born on March 11, 1933, in Mountain View, Missouri, to Guy and Pansy (Partney) Tranbarger. He departed this life on December 14, 2021, at Rock Point Nursing Center, Birch Tree, Missouri, at the age of 88 years.

He was united in marriage to Joyce Mayree Decker, on December 24, 1951, in Hardy, Arkansas.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Tranbarger; parents, Guy and Pansy Tranbarger; brother, Orval Tranbarger; sister-in-law, LaDonna Tranbarger; brother-in-law, Larry Samuelson; and nephew, Lilburn Lee Tranbarger.

Survivors include his daughter, Joy Tranbarger and husband, Jack McClure of Birch Tree, MO; brother, John Edward Tranbarger of Mountain View, MO; sister, Dixie Samuelson of Burton, MI; sisters-in-law, Debbie Tranbarger, and Lucille Starr; special nephew, Kenny Bond; special niece, Cheryl Abbey; and many other nieces, nephews, and friends.

Lilburn attended Mountain View Christian Church. He was a devoted Christian husband and father. He worked for 30 years at General Motors, just watching the calendar and counting the days to come back to Mountain View. Lilburn loved to fish and hunt and enjoyed gardening and taking care of the lawn.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 20, 2021, at Yarber Mortuary, Mountain View, with Bro. Bill Apple officiating. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 10-11:00 a.m., also at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children Research Hospital and the Salvation Army.
