Marlena Jean
Smith
Jan 27, 1949 — Oct 9, 2022
Marlena Jean (Davison) Smith, of Winona, Missouri, gained her angel wings on Sunday, October 9, 2022, at Riverways Manor Nursing Home, Van Buren, Missouri, at the age of 73. She was born on January 27, 1949, in Illinois to the late Frederick and Betty Mae (Sutton) Davison.
Marlena was one of a kind, that's for sure. There was no one quite like her, and she had a heart of gold and was stubborn as an ox. Many who knew her referred to her as Mom. That woman sure left an impression on this world.
She fought many medical problems throughout her life, including breast cancer in her right breast, but she didn't let that hold her back any, she just told them to cut it off and get it over with. That was only one of the main things she made it through in her life. Like I said, she sure was one hell of a woman. Words can't begin to describe how lost we all are without her, but at least she's no longer suffering, and she finally made it home to be with her daddy, Geno, and the rest of her loved ones in heaven.
Marlena is preceded in death by her parents, Frederick and Betty Davison; her son Stephen Eugene "Geno" Raeuber; her sister, Carol Ann Blakley; and her husband, George Smith.
She leaves behind her children, Michael "Tiger" Raeuber and girlfriend, Kayla, and Betty (Raeuber) Hemenway and husband, Pete; grandchildren, Jesse, Austin, Brett, Zayne, Jayden, Raylynn, Jayce, Bianca, Sianna, Damien, and Linkin; four siblings and a host of other family and friends.
No services are planned. Cremation arrangements were under the direction of Yarber Mortuary, Winona, Missouri. Condolences may be expressed at www.yarbermortuary.com.
