Mary Elizabeth Ballance of Winona, Missouri, was born on May 26, 1933, in Winona, the daughter of Charlie and Annie (Bradshaw) Holloway. She went to be with our Lord on March 28, 2022, at her home, surrounded by her loved ones, at the age of 88.

She enjoyed taking care of her family, doing puzzles, quilts, growing her flowers, embroidery, and cooking for her family.

In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Hubert Eugene Ballance; three brothers, George Holloway, Joe Holloway, and Fred Holloway; six sisters, Minnie Madison, Ruby Smith, Linda Grant, Christin Holloway, Hazel Counts, and Nillie Jane Ethridge; four sons, Dean Ballance, Donald Ballance, Junior Ballance, and Amos Ballance; one grandson, Keith Ballance; two great-grandchildren, Scotty Ballance and Shelby Lawrence; and one great-great-grandchild, Autumn Nash.

Survivors include her daughter, Patricia Denton of Winona, MO; her son, Larry (Cindy) Ballance of Leola, AR; three daughters-in-law, Ouida Ballance of Leola, AR, Anita Ballance of Thorton, AR, and Linda Kay Ballance of Fordyce, AR; two sisters, Laverne Prewett of Winona, and Joyce Prewett of Mountain View, MO; 13 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; 40 great-great-grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews; and a lot of friends.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 31, 2022, at Yarber Mortuary, Winona, Missouri, with Darrell Derryberry officiating. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 1-2:00 p.m., also at the funeral home. Interment will be in Pine Lawn Cemetery, Winona, Missouri.
