Mary Patsy (Renegar) Lakey was born June 26, 1939, to Claude and Elsie (Orchard) Renegar in Teresita, Missouri. She departed this life on September 10, 2022, at her home in Birch Tree, Missouri, at the age of 83.

In 1960, Patsy was married to Bobby Jones. To this union, one daughter was born. On October 26, 2007, she was united in marriage to Norvil Lakey.

Patsy is preceded in death by her first husband, Bobby; her parents, Claude and Elsie Renegar; and two sisters, Margaret and Vera.

She is survived by her husband, Norvil of the home; daughter, Tammy (Steve) Johnston of West Plains, MO; one sister, Alvena Yarber of Birch Tree, MO; seven step-children; several step-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Patsy graduated from high school. She worked as a seamstress for Angelica Uniform Company.

She was a member of Pleasant Grove Church, she loved her church and loved to sing. Patsy enjoyed farming, especially seeing the baby calves and flower gardening. She loved her cat, Sweet Pea.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 14, 2022, at Yarber Mortuary, Mountain View, Missouri. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 12-1:00 p.m., also at the funeral home. Interment will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Mountain View.
