Mary Elizabeth Mitchell, age 73, passed away on July 5, 2024, at Willow Care Nursing Home, Willow Springs, Missouri. She was born on June 7, 1951, in Ramsey, Illinois, to James and Ethel (Day) Lamborn.

She was united in marriage to James LeRoy Mitchell on February 15, 2003, in Mountain View, Missouri.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband, LeRoy Mitchell; four siblings, Betty Helmig, Vivian Jackson, Faye Jackson, and Wesley Lamborn; an infant granddaughter, Jessica Ward; a grandson, Wayne Sechrest; and a great-granddaughter, Stormy Daiker.

She is survived by her children, Elizabeth Hardwick, Rita Sechrest, Rebecca Mitchell, Marlinda Ward, and Wesley Ward;  five siblings, Leslie Lamborn, Eleveda Teney, Sadie McBride, David Lamborn, and Gary Lamborn; nine grandchildren, Raymond Daiker, Jonathan Sechrest, William Sechrest, Elizebeth Mitchell, Steven Mitchell, Jace Ward, Emma Prater, Kaya Acker, and Kenny Coolbaugh; and fourteen great-grandchildren, Charlie Daiker, Ray Daiker, Presley Daiker, Paisley Daiker, Wesley Daiker, Madison Sechrest, Lilliana Sechrest, Allyson Sechrest, Karter Sechrest, Scarlett Swank, Kendrix Coolbaugh, Tatum Trantham, Kaiden Finley, and Gabriel Finley.

Mary always had a passion for music and was a huge Elvis lover. She enjoyed dancing, movies, bicycling when she was younger, and tending to her flowers and garden. Mary loved the color pink and all animals, especially her little dog baby, Diamond. She was a big flirt and never met a stranger. Mary loved sitting on her porch and people-watching. She also enjoyed drinking wild cherry Pepsi and sharing her love of coffee and cookies with her children and grandchildren.

She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.
