Misty Renee Ward was born June 10, 1975, in Mountain View, Missouri, to Chester D. Smotherman and Nadine Stark. She remained in the area all her life, staying close to family and friends. Misty enjoyed spending time with loved ones, going to the river, yard saleing, and being with the grandbabies.

She is preceded in death by her dad Chester, and baby siblings Lester, Tina, and Fonda.

Misty is survived by her significant other, Stanley Kenaga; mother, Nadine Noble and husband, Wayne; daughter, Smoki Nash and husband, Dustin; brother, Ronald Smotherman and wife, Christina; sisters, Tonya Ray and husband, Andy, and Secelia Stephenson and husband, Mike; grandbabies, Stratten, Sasten, and Triten; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

Misty was a member of Oak Grove Church, and she was baptized on May 16, 2021. Misty was a loving and caring Nana, Mom, sister, daughter, and friend. Always willing to lend a hand and help whenever possible. She will be greatly missed by all.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, August 1, 2022, at Yarber Mortuary, Birch Tree, Missouri, with Pastor Jeff Brake officiating. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 1-2:00 p.m., also at the funeral home. Interment will be in Oak Forest Cemetery, Birch Tree, Missouri.
