Norma Charlene (Heverns) Howell was born January 13, 1956, the daughter of Walker and Edith (Barton) Heverns.  She departed this life on June 5, 2026, at Mercy Hospital, Springfield, Missouri.

Norma was united in marriage to Michael Howell on January 4, 1982, and to this marriage two sons were born: Kevin and Travis.

Norma loved her family and friends.  She also loved the Rock Point Nursing Center in Birch Tree, where she had worked and then later resided.  She considered the staff and residents as her family.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Mike; two sons, Kevin and Travis; her parents; two brothers, Denver Heverns and Carl Heverns; and two sisters, Audra Hart and Alice Renegar.

Norma is survived by one sister, Evelyn Weisbrod, West Plains, MO; two brothers, Roy (Kathy) Heverns and Richard Heverns, all of Birch Tree, MO; two brothers-in-law, Freddie Howell and Bill (Sharon) Howell; Aunt Betty and Uncle Glen; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other family members.

Norma will be missed by all her family and friends, but her memory will live in the hearts of those who knew her. "We love you, Norma."

Graveside services will be held Thursday, June 11, 2026, at Pilgrim's Rest Cemetery, Salem, Missouri with Pastor Randy Ferguson officiating under the direction of Yarber Mortuary, Eminence, Missouri. Condolences may be expressed at www.yarbermortuary.com.
