Obituary

Pansybelle "Pansy" Fay (Hord) Majors was born in 1938 to Samuel and Stella Hord in McKittrick, Missouri.  She attended and graduated from Hermann High School in 1956.  She attended Southwest Baptist University and Southwest Missouri State University, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education.  While attending college, she worked as a seamstress.  She also attended one year at Southwestern Seminary in Ft. Worth, Texas.  Pansy taught at Willow Springs and Mountain View elementaries, with her passion being kindergarten.

Pansy met Paul in 1965, and they married in 1966. She was a wonderful wife, mother, and Nonna who loved to take pictures.  Pansy was a committed member of First Baptist Church, Willow Springs, Missouri, where she played the organ, sang in the choir, decorated for church events, worked with the Jolly Achers, and much more.  She loved studying the Word of God and participating in the Community Bible Study.

Pansy passed from this life to eternity with Jesus Christ on February 16, 2026, at Mountain View Healthcare.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel and Stella Hord; brothers, William Hord and Russell Hord; sister, Eva Bryan Thompson; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Narce "Bud" and Daisy Majors; sister-in-law, Bonnie Edwards; and brother-in-law, Darrell Owens.

She is survived by her husband, Paul, of the home; daughter, Christie Majors of Birch Tree, MO; son, Cory Majors (Sherry) of Meadville, MO; grandchildren Grady Majors, Rachel Thompson (Braxton), Caedmon Majors (Mariah), and Evan Majors (Keirston); great-grandchildren, Lakota, Mason, and Remi; sister-in-law, Betty Owens; a host of nieces, nephews and friends; and her granddog, Chester.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 21, 2026, at First Baptist Church, Willow Springs, with Joel Hinds and Cory Majors officiating, under the direction of Yarber Mortuary, Willow Springs. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 12-2:00 p.m., also at the church.  Interment will be in the Willow Springs City Cemetery, Willow Springs.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the South Central Walk Worthy Women's Conference (checks payable to SCWW Women's Conference).  Pansy attended this conference annually since 2017.  She loved this conference because people heard the Gospel and deepened their walk with Jesus.  Contributions may be given at the service, sent to P.O. Box 913, Mountain View, MO 65548, or left at the Yarber Mortuary in Mountain View or Willow Springs. Condolences may be expressed at www.yarbermortuary.com.
