Zelma Pauline Goforth was born March 19, 1929, in Gang, Missouri, to John Henry and Martha Jane (Conley) Mahan. She passed away April 20, 2024, at Rock Point Nursing Center in Birch Tree, Missouri surrounded by her family.

Pauline was united in marriage to Raymond Goforth on March 24, 1947, and to this union, two children were born, Duane and Loudean, and step-daughter, Fern.

She is preceded in death by her parents, John and Martha; husband, Raymond; step-daughter, Fern Hunt; brothers, Seaman Mahan and Raymond Mahan; and sisters, Ocie Mahan, Elsie Dillard, Alma Russell, Freda Conway, Dorothy Tibbets, and Lorene Breeden.

Survivors include son, Duane (Brenda) Goforth; daughter, Loudean (Willard) Knuckles; grandchildren, Wilbur (Julie) Knuckles, Wade (Jennifer) Knuckles, Ryan Goforth, Rodney (Amber) Goforth, Amber (Richard) Long, Briana (Zach) Kline and Kathy (Mike) Amanti; great-grandchildren, Wyatt, Josiah, Ellie, Alayna, Brady, Wesley, Lexi, Elizabeth, Cambelle, Philip, Jarrett, and Logan; and many nieces and nephews.

Pauline loved her church and her family. Although Pauline is no longer with us physically, her spirit will forever remain a beacon of love and inspiration. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on April 24, 2024, at Bethany Chapel Cemetery in Eminence, Missouri, under the direction of Yarber Mortuary, Eminence. Condolences may be expressed at www.yarbermortuary.com.
