Peggy Lou Kile was born on July 8, 1952, in Mountain View, Missouri, to Kenneth and Juanita (Deatherage) Kile. She departed this life at her home in Winona, Missouri, on September 16, 2026, surrounded by her family.

Peggy was blessed with four children, Cindy, Kenny, Tonya (Troy), and Lori (Bryan). She was a proud grandmother to seven: Kelsey, Joel (Sarah), Jacob, Grandon (Sarah), Abigail (Dawson), Alexis (Kegan), and Wesley. Her nine great-grandchildren, who brought tremendous joy to her life, were Rosie, Skylee, Spencer, Kyler, Zeke, Novalee Lou, Daxtin, Clayton, and one on the way.

She is survived by her dear siblings, LeeAnn Conway of Vandalia, IL, Bernie (Patty) Kile of Ashland, MO, Debbie (Pete) Votaw of Brentwood, MO, Mike (Debbie) Kile of Winona, MO, Danny (Janet) Kile of Winona, and Sandy Kile of Winona; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.

Peggy was preceded in death by her loving parents, Kenneth and Juanita Kile; her brothers, Raymond and Jimmy Kile; her sister, Sharon; her brothers-in-law, Danny D’Angelo and Danny Basham; and very special friend, Bud Martin.

While Peggy and James were raising their children, some of their happiest moments were spent simply being together as a family. They cherished time with their children and loved ones, whether gathered along the riverbank, enjoying the outdoors, or making memories together in their own yard. It was in these moments their love for family truly shone.

Later in life, Peggy found immense joy in being a devoted grandmother and great-grandmother. She treasured every moment with them, from camping trips and family adventures to the quiet moments spent talking and listening. Peggy was always a loving and understanding presence, offering a listening ear without judgement and a heart full of unconditional love. Her family knew they could always turn to her, knowing they would be heard, loved, and accepted just as they were.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 19, 2026, at Yarber Mortuary, Winona, Missouri, with Bro. Rusty Bland and Kim Bland officiating. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., also at the funeral home. Interment will be at Mount Zion Cemetery, Winona.
