Regina Sue "Jeannie" (Smotherman) Fox was born to Thomas and Shirley Jean (Wallace) Smotherman on March 12, 1960, in Morton, Washington. She left for her heavenly home on May 14, 2022, at Rock Point Nursing Center, Birch Tree, Missouri, with her loving family by her side. Jeannie was united in marriage to David Gary Fox, on June 30, 1979, at Falling Springs, Missouri, and to this union, they were blessed with three children, David Jr., Hilda, and Heidi.

Jeannie is survived by her three children, David Fox, Hilda (Danny) Martin, and Heidi (Jeffery) Sechrest; four grandchildren, Landon and Clinton Hulvey, Kye and Drew Sechrest; three brothers, Tommy (Barb) Smotherman, Harold "Joe" Smotherman, and Jamie "Jim" (Dede) Smotherman; two sisters, Shar (Ron) Williams and Louann (Jorge) Delapaz; her little pal (dog) Little Bit, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband, David; her parents, Tom and Shirley Smotherman; one infant grandson, Brandon Lee Hulvey, Jr.; two nieces, Amber and Alicia Smotherman; one brother-in-law, Jackie Honeycutt; grandparents, Alfred and Estell Jewell (Wilbanks) Smotherman and Howard and Merrell (Brawley) Wallace; and a host of uncles, aunts, and cousins.

Jeannie was the first-born child of Tom and Shirley and the first-born grandchild of Howard and Merrell. She was a faithful believer in God and showed that faith every day by having a helping hand for others as she struggled with her own health problems. Jeannie was a loving mother and a devoted grandmother. She was a special person and will be missed by all she touched in this life. A precious person left us today but will shine in Heaven.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 17, 2022, at Oak Grove Baptist Church, Birch Tree, Missouri, with Pastor Jeff Brake officiating under the direction of Yarber Mortuary, Birch Tree. Visitation will be held prior to the service, from 12:30-2 p.m., also at the church. Interment will be in Moniter Cemetery, Montier, Missouri. Condolences may be expressed at www.yarbermortuary.com .
