Richard Lee Pruitt was born November 26, 1978, in Manhattan, Kansas, to Garry and Patsy (Watson) Barton. Richie passed away June 27, 2023, at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri, at the age of 44.

Richie is preceded in death by his father, Garry Barton; sister, Teresa Clifton; nephew, Connor Clifton; grandparents, Robert and Betty Watson and Richard and Irene Pruitt; and several aunts and uncles.

He leaves behind his mother, Patsy Barton of Willow Springs, MO; wife, Dana Pruitt of Lebanon, MO; daughter, Kiarra Pruitt of Lebanon; uncle, Terry Watson (Sandy) of Willow Springs; aunts, Shirley Myres of Laquay, MO, Roberta (Don) Young of Joplin, MO, and Carolyn Hirsch of Joplin, MO; niece, Mariah (Cameron) Hanson of Mountain Grove, MO; great-nephew, Knox Hanson of Mountain Grove; great-niece, Montgomery Hanson of Mountain Grove; and many cousins.

Richie graduated from Willow Springs High School in 1997. In his spare time, he loved going, it didn't matter where. He loved going to his aunt Shirley's to help her clean or do errands. Richie loved playing basketball with his daughter, Kiarra, and he loved his family dearly.

Although Richie is gone, his memory will live on.
