Rose Mary Thomas was born February 13, 1939, in a dirt floor cabin at Round Springs, Missouri, to Ed and Jennie Alene (Smith) Self. She passed away on March 14, 2022, in her home of 62 years in Eminence, Missouri, at the age of 83.

She was united in marriage to Earlin Joe Thomas, who preceded her in death on August 27, 2019. She is also preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, James Self "Bud" and Ray Self; and two sisters, Susan Johns and Edalene Dailey.

She is survived by one sister, Jennie Pyrtle "Tootie" of Poplar Bluff, MO; two sons, Steve Thomas and his wife, Kathi of Winona, MO, and Ken Thomas and his wife Sarah of Eminence, MO; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Rose's passion was visiting and cooking for others. She also enjoyed gardening and helping others. She loved her family and friends and would do anything for anyone, no matter what time it was. If Rose was on your side, you might as well have an army.

Rose was one of a kind and will be greatly missed.
