Sandra Joette McClure, age 72, of Birch Tree, Missouri, passed away on August 16, 2026, surrounded by family. She was born on February 5, 1954, at DePaul Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri, to Peggy Joyce Huff and Earling Edward Burns.

She married Jackie Thomas McClure on October 21, 1971, and together they had 2 children.

She is survived by her husband, Jackie Thomas McClure of Birch Tree, Mo; her children, Jack Houston McClure of Montier, MO, and April Shannon Crites of Bucyrus, MO; grandchildren, Dalton Culp McClure, Olivia Pearl Crites, and Sophia Lenore Crites; great-grandchildren, Jackston Dean McClure, Clifton James McClure, Ivyona Audreyelle McClure, and Daisey Juliette McClure; siblings, Doug Burns (wife Pat), Gina Barkley (husband Tony), Rebecca McQuitty, and Joanne Crawley; Godchild, Brian Joseph Richard; as well as many other family members and friends who loved her dearly.

Those who knew her knew that some of her happiest moments were spent near the water, and she loved to fish. She also had a true green thumb and loved working in her garden. She took great pride in growing things and preserving what she grew through canning. Her hands were rarely idle. She quilted, crocheted, gardened, and created beautiful things for the people she loved. She was an avid reader, loved music, and even played a little bass guitar.

A friends and family celebration of life will be announced and held at a later date.
