Scottie Allen Thompson, the son of Robert and Alice Thompson, was born in Newark, Ohio, on October 27, 1938. On December 25, 2022, his life and soul found its way to Heaven.

Scottie proudly served a distinguished 21.5 years in the U.S. Navy aboard the U.S.S. Constellation. He was a veteran with multiple Navy Combat awards including two Bronze Stars for tours in the Korean and Vietnam wars.

He leaves behind his loving wife, Gloria F. Thompson, of 32 years; son, Scottie Thompson, Jr.; daughter, Cindy Griffith; three other children, Cinder Lea Lyke, Sam Cunningham, and Denny Cunningham; and multiple grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Scottie was a man of many untold stories but a heart of gold. If someone needed it, especially family, he was always there. He was loved by many, and he loved too many to count.
