Obituary

Sharon Kay (Hanks) Smith, 60, of Willow Springs, Missouri departed this life on November 20, 2016 at Barnes Jewish Hospital in Saint Louis, Missouri.   She was born November 22, 1955 in Willow Springs, Missouri to Charles Hanks, Jr. and Ruby (Williams) Hanks.

Sharon is survived by her mother, Ruby Hanks of Willow Springs, Missouri; three children, Roy Smith and wife Jennifer of Rose Hill, Kansas, Chris Smith of Mount Vernon, Washington, and Damian Smith and wife Sidney of Nixa, Missouri; two sisters, Shirley Pringle and husband Lloyd of Pomona, and Beverly Hicks and husband Carl of Willow Springs.  Also surviving are seven grandchildren, Shawn Smith, Anna Smith, Tyler Wasson, Callie Smith, Gracyn Smith, Isabell Smith and Logan Smith.
Preceding her in death is her father, Charles Hanks, Jr.
Sharon's greatest joy was her kids and her grandkids and loved staying home with them.  She loved traveling to see her family and enjoyed being with them very much.   She also loved animals.  Sharon was known for her kindness and humbleness.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, November 25, 2016 at Westside Family Life Center in Willow Springs with Pastor David Lovan officiating.
Interment will be in the Pine Grove Cemetery, under the direction of Yarber Mortuary, Willow Springs.
