Sharon Kay Volner was born January 26, 1956, in Garden City, Kansas to Francis Lee and Betty Joyce (Smith) Hodge. She passed away on December 18, 2024, at her home in Mountain View, Missouri.

Sharon lived a life filled with compassion and service, dedicating herself to the well-being of others as a Nurse's Aide in the home healthcare industry.

She married the love of her life, Lynn Harvey Volner on August 16, 1986, in Fox, Arkansas. To this union, three children were born, Jeremy, Sheila, and Shawna.

Sharon is preceded in death by her parents, Francis and Betty Hodge, two sisters; and a step-daughter.

She was a guiding light to those around her, demonstrating unwavering love and kindness throughout her life. She will be remembered fondly by her husband, Lynn Volner; son, Jeremy (Misty) Hodge; daughters, Sheila Suter of Russellville , AR and Shawna Hodge of Mountain View, MO; grandchildren, Preston, William and Bryton Freeman, Paige, Alicia and Dylan Suter, Sadie Matheson, and Lily, Regina and Xander Perego; four great-grandchildren; two brothers; and two sisters.

Sharon loved spending time with her husband, children, and grandchildren. She enjoyed reading, making crafts, and playing Solitaire. She especially loved being a wife, mother, and grandmother.

Sharon Kay Volner will be deeply missed but lovingly remembered by all whose lives she graced. May she rest in peace.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, December 21, 2024, at Victory Pentecostal Holiness Church in Birch Tree, Missouri, with Bro. Ronald Coots officiating, under the direction of Yarber Mortuary, Mountain View, Missouri.  Visitation will be held prior to the service from 9-10:00 a.m. also at the church.
