Sherri Jean Bangs was born July 28, 1947, in Thomaston, Connecticut, to Paul and Virginia (Lynn) Smith. She departed this life on March 30, 2023, at her home in Mountain View, Missouri, at the age of 75.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Virginia; grandson, Marshell Bangs; and granddaughter, Trinity Sherman.

Survivors include her sons, Howard (Jutta) Bangs of Oakridge, TN, Paul (Tonya) Bangs of Birch Tree, MO, and James Bangs of Mountain View, MO; her companion, Beverly Greenwalt; four grandchildren, Colton Lucas-Hanson of West Plains, MO, Michael Dixon of Jackson, MO, Brenden Sherman of Mountain View, MO, and Jacob Sherman of Willow Springs, MO; one great-grandson, Bentlee Sherman.

Sherri would like you to know her work is finished here. She's received a call she couldn't refuse for an appointment from which she will not be returning. This assignment comes with huge bonuses, a reunion with family and friends she has not seen in a long time. Her new mission takes her to a wonderful place where she will be socializing, dancing, and enjoying...music and laughter are guaranteed. She left detailed instructions for her family and friends to celebrate her mission here, which is now complete.
