Sherry Ann Mantay was born January 21, 1947, in Los Angeles, California to George Howard and Anita Ethel (Maack) Mantay. She departed this life May 22, 2024, in Willow Springs, Missouri at the age of 77.

Sherry served her country in the United States Marine Corps and earned an associate's degree in nursing from SMSU in West Plains, Missouri. She further served her community as a registered nurse.

She is preceded in death by her parents, George and Anita; sister, Linda Shea; brother, Paul Mantay; and nephew, Richard Shea.

Survivors include her significant other, Anne B. Moody; niece, Katherine Shea; and great niece, Carmela Shea; Trace Moore who was like a sister to her; and many loved friends in the surrounding area.
