Shirley Saundra
Franklin
Nov 2, 1934 — Dec 15, 2024
Shirley Chrisco Franklin, born November 2, 1934, of Eminence, MO, went home peacefully to her family in Heaven. Shirley passed away surrounded by loved ones on December 15, 2024, in Waupun, WI, at the age of 90.
Shirley loved adventures and road trips, and this is how she was able to pursue her love of hunting and collecting rocks. She was known as The Rock Lady.
Shirley found passion in being a caregiver for individuals with special needs. Not only did she love them like they were her own, but she became their voice.
Her true passion was her love for her family and friends. She truly believed that love conquers all, and her life proved it. Through the many hardships in her life, the only thing that kept her moving forward was love.
Shirley is survived by her daughter, Debby McHughs of New Mexico; her sister, Phillis (Steve) Stadtmueller of Wisconsin; her brothers, Richard Chrisco and Michael Minner of Virginia; grandchildren, Eric McHughs of Illinois, Lisa (Derek) Blair of New Mexico, and Heidi (Jay) Steinbach of Wisconsin. She is survived by many great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, and countless friends who were more like family.
Waiting for her at the gates of Heaven are her husband, Wilburn "Gene" Franklin; her son, Michael Franklin; her great-grandson, Jason McHughs; her parents, Richard and Geneva (Koogler) Chrisco; her brother Raymond Chrisco; and her sister, Wave Wertz.
Heidi and Jay Steinbach would like to give special thanks to the following people and organizations,
Bonnie and Barbie Keaton, Linda Chrisco, Brenda Eckmayer, Brianna Stegner, Maddie Stegner, SSM Home Hospice of Wisconsin, Cornerstone Funeral Home in Wisconsin, Yarber Mortuary, Christian Church Fellowship Hall, Eminence extended family, and her trusted companion and protector, Post Boy.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 21, 2024, at Chrisco Cemetery, Timber, Missouri, with David Kettner officiating, under the direction of Yarber Mortuary, Eminence.
