Shirley Hickman, 84 years and 6 days, passed away on June 21, 2022, in Warrenton, Missouri. She was born on June 15, 1938, in Summersville, Missouri, to Ottis and Edna (Clark) Harmon.

Shirley graduated from Summersville High School in 1957. She married her high school sweetheart Ernie Joe Hickman in Summersville, and they had four children, Lavona, Ernie Jr, Rick, LaWanda. The couple moved the family from Summersville to St. Louis in 1963 where she started her 15 year career at A&E Brake Engineers as Administrative assistant.

Shirley was best known for making crafts, gardening and spoiling her grandchildren.

She is survived one brother, Jon Harmon; two daughters, Lavona Schneider and LaWanda Graham (Steven); two sons, Ernie J. Hickman, Jr. and Rick Hickman (Kristy Kindwell); three grandsons, Kenneth Schneider, Robby Hickman, and Joshua Hickman; five granddaughters, Sharon Schneider-Quick, Chelsea Tapley, Kasey Moorman, Christina Thompson, Monica Hickman; and fourteen great-grandchildren.

Shirley is preceded in death by her husband, Ernie J Hickman "Joe"; her parents, Ottis and Edna Harmon; and a brother, Wilby Harmon.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, June 27, 2022, at Yarber Mortuary, Mountain View, Missouri. Interment will be in Bethel Cemetery, Summersville, Missouri. Condolences may be expressed at www.yarbermortuary.com.
