Susie Ellen Bales was born on February 25, 1945, the daughter of Cecil and Clytie Tune. She departed this life on February 25, 2024, at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri, at the age of 79 years.

She was united in marriage to Lee Edward Bales on February 20, 1965. To this union, four children were born Ed, Brenda, Dean, and Lynn.

Susie was preceded in death by her husband, Lee Bales; her parents, Cecil and Clytie Tune; and two sisters, Ethel and Katheryn Williams.

She is survived by her children, Edward Bales and wife, Christy of Mountain View, MO, Brenda Kleopfer of Ozark, MO, Dean Bales and wife, Nicole of Mountain View, and S. Lynn Roberts and husband, Stace of Mountain View; and 13 grandchildren, Chad Bales, Bryce Bales, Devon Bales, Shelton Bales, Justin Bales, Fantasia Critchfield, Blake Bales, Chase Bales, Hayden Bales, Layne Bales, Stace Roberts Jr., Austin Roberts, and Levi Roberts.

Susie loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She will be missed dearly by her family and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 28, 2024, at Yarber Mortuary, Mountain View, Missouri. Visitation will be held from 6-8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 27, 2024, also at the funeral home. Interment will be in Oakside Cemetery, Summersville, Missouri.
