Valerie Elizabeth Bland, age 48, passed away on May 31, 2022, at Cox South Hospital, Springfield, Missouri. She was born to Ray and Minnie (Bland) Teague on June 16, 1973, in Columbia, Missouri.

Survivors include her parents, Ray and Minnie Teague; two daughters, Julie Ann Pope and Megan Kester; her companion, David Epperson; one brother, Steven Bland and girlfriend, Becky Distefanio; niece and nephews, Haley Bland, Ryan Bland, Montez, Makai, and Felix; and fathers of her children, Toby Pope and Tony Kester.

She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Leland and Lottie Smith and John and Doretta Bland.

Valerie had a love for dancing, and she loved camping and fishing with her family. She enjoyed playing games on her phone and attending the County Fair in Springfield, Missouri.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, June 6, 2022, at Yarber Mortuary, Winona, Missouri, with Rev. James Calvin officiating. Interment will be in New Eminence Cemetery, Eminence, Missouri. Condolences may be expressed at www.yarbermortuary.com.
