Obituary

Wendell "Scott" Sanders, son of Winifred "Winnie" Silas Sanders and Marilyn "Kay" Zink, was born December 21, 1962, in San Jose, California.  Wendell lived most of his life in rural Missouri, calling Birch Tree, Cabool, and Willow Springs his home.  A trucker by trade, Wendell's calling in life was working with his hands fixing cars, collecting junk and anything else he could.  Wendell was a steadfast husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend.

Wendell was united in holy matrimony to Valerie Kay Pulliam in December of 1987. From this union, he and Valerie were blessed with two children, Wesley and Laken.

Wendell is preceded in death by his grandparents; parents, Marilyn Zink; father, Winifred Sanders and step-mother, Jeanette Sanders; one brother, Terry Sanders; one niece, Marti Sanders-Trujillo; father-in-law, Virgil Pulliam; mother-in-law, Verla Pulliam; and sister-in-law, Velinda Wilkins.

He is survived by many loved ones; his loving wife of 34 years, Valerie Sanders of the family home; one son, Wesley Sanders and fiancé, Calley Dunnihoo, Bono, AR; one daughter, Laken Sanders and fiancé, Dennis Baker, Willow Springs, MO; adoptive son, Matthew Cash, Willow Springs, MO; four grandchildren, William Wiese, Payton, Adalyn, and Harley Cash; one brother, Brent Sanders, Douglas, WY; and best friends of many years, Travis Summers and Jill Rockwell; and many nieces, nephews and dear friends.

Celebration of Life services and viewing will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 3, 2022, at Yarber Mortuary, Willow Springs, Missouri with Wesley Sanders speaking.  After cremation, Wendell's ashes will be partially scattered with his mother, brother and niece on the mountain near Esterbrook, Wyoming and the remainder will be interred with his wife at a later date in the Mount Olive Cemetery, Mountain View, Missouri.
